The other day a local business owner said “I sell my service to local residents so I really don’t need a website.” I show an opportunity to educate this
business owner.
Times have changed and the way people get information has changed as well. Yes, ten years ago a local business didn’t require a website. Most businesses used the Yellow Pages, newspapers and flyers to advertise their services and products to local clients.
Today people increasingly go to the Internet to not only to find information but to also find business providers. The number of local search is growing exponentially.
In 2004 both Google and Yahoo rolled out their new ‘local’ search engines. Over the last couple of years, both of these companies have launched mobile search capability.
Mobile local search technology allows people to search for local businesses and entities using their mobile devices. This technology give the mobile user instant access to near-by services and information such as restaurants, movies, events, products, services and much more.
Ten years ago you went to the yellow pages or called 411 to get phone numbers. Today you use the Internet.
Do you own a local business? If you do, then your business absolutely must have a website if you’re hoping to remain competitive in your marketplace.

NOTE: This is an important part of Internet Marketing Promotions! If you
